Welcome to Folukie!
We would like to invite the internet community to join the fun at our "fine-dine" restaurant in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.
Come and enjoy a delicious variety of authentic Halal Trinidadian, West African and Soul food in a beautiful, warm and family-friendly environment. We cater to a diverse crowd with a broad spectrum of interests.
A variety entertainment is featured at Folukie: live music (Jazz, Blues, Rock), spoken word, poetry, and stand-up comedy. There are special events and performances each week.
Reservations, advance tickets or a donation is requested for certain shows.
We are a family owned establishment located at 1168 Bedford Avenue between Putnam and Madison, in a landmark building beneath the Masjid.
Our Chef, Sister Folukie, hails from Trinidad, with an African name that graces the restaurant, that means "in God's hands." She loves to prepare mouth-watering meals that delight the senses and awaken the appetite.
Pastry Chef Ebow dazzles guests with amazing desserts, and his award-winning showpieces are on display. Brother Joel runs the business end, and built the restaurant from the ground up with his own two hands!
Our clean, contemporary space was designed by Alina Tesmer and Mark Cheatham
with the architect firm "Design by Cheatham."Folukie is open Monday - Sunday 3 PM– 11 PM (Closed every 1st and 3rd Sunday each Month).
